Site Planning Tool
The Optimise Prime Site Planning Tool is designed to help fleet managers appropriately size electricity connections based on the requirements of their vehicles, demonstrating the potential benefits of Smart Charging.
The tool is a simplified online system developed based on detailed modelling of Royal Mail depots within the project in order to specify profiled connections. The output from the tool could be used to help design a profiled connection with a distribution network operator once this product is made available to customers. The simpler Site Electrification Planner can also be used to check whether a site needs a connection upgrade. Read the sections below to get the most out of the tool.
